Marsfontein Update
Botswana Diamonds plc ('BOD') is pleased to provide an update on its Marsfontein and Thorny River Projects in
Mining of the dumps at Marsfontein is ongoing. Exploration, including drilling and geophysics in the mine area has identified a blow of between 5 and 10 metres wide and about 13 metres from surface. This is fresh kimberlite. While we await outstanding permits to mine Thorny River we can continue to mine at Marsfontein.
Chairman, John Teeling, commented: "As a proof-of-concept project Marsfontein is delivering diamond recoveries and values above expectations as previously reported in August. This augers well for Thorny River. The discovery of an unmined blow is excellent news and will enable ongoing production until final permits to mine Thorny River are received".
