Cummins Pareta® Collaboration

DG Innovate plc (LSE: DGI), the advanced research and development company developing pioneering solutions in sustainable mobility and energy storage, is pleased to announce that it has developed, in collaboration with Cummins Inc ("Cummins"), an innovative, novel electric actuator motor built on DGI's proprietary Pareta® electric drive system.  With a dual motor/inverter configuration, which offers built-in redundancy at the system level, the new device offers both rotational as well as linear actuation.  This additional application for DGI's Pareta® technology is ideal for safety-critical applications in commercial vehicles, such as 'brake by wire' electro-mechanical brakes, as a replacement for today's air actuated brakes.

This milestone follows the signing of a Joint Development Agreement with Cummins in January 2024, with initial deliveries in June 2024.  DGI's electric actuator brings numerous advantages over traditional systems, including safety critical response times, seamless integration with modern systems and vehicle architectures, improved packaging, precision, maintenance efficiency, energy savings, and reduced environmental impact.  These benefits are making DGI's Pareta® electric motor increasingly sought after in modern vehicles for applications such as electric steering and braking, with a special focus on advanced safety, efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

Thorough testing and validation of the electric motor is currently underway, and once technically and ASIL-D certified, volume production is anticipated by the Company to be substantial.

Commenting, Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen, CEO of DG Innovate said: "This accomplishment in producing a new and innovative application of our Pareta® technology is a testament to the DGI engineering team's dedication and expertise. At DGI we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and this partnership with Cummins exemplifies our drive to bring the most advanced and reliable technology to our clients."
