Delay in publication of Annual Report and Accounts and postponement of Annual General Meeting
fastjet, the African low-cost airline, announces that there will be a delay in the publication of its annual audited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019 ("2019 Annual Report") and subsequently the Company has postponed its 2020 Annual General Meeting ("AGM").
Annual Report and Accounts
Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the Company will be unable to post its 2019 Annual Report to shareholders by the 30 June 2020 deadline pursuant to Rule 18 of the AIM Rules For Companies ("AIM Rules").
Further to the guidance provided by AIM Regulation in "Inside Aim" on 26 March 2020, the Company requested an additional period of up to three months to publish its 2019 Annual Report. AIM Regulation has granted the extension, and therefore the Company will publish its 2019 Annual Report by 30 September 2020. The Company has also applied for and been granted an extension by Companies House to delay the filing of its 2019 Annual Report until 30 September 2020.
Further updates will be given in due course as to the timing of the publication of the 2019 Annual Report.
Annual General Meeting
The Company has decided to postpone its AGM, originally scheduled to take place in June 2020. All business normally conducted at the AGM will be deferred. Notice of the AGM will be given in accordance with the requirements of the Company's articles of association, with no less than 21 clear days' written notice.
Details of the revised date for the AGM will be provided as soon as possible
