Director Appointment

 

Bluefield Solar (LON: BSIF), the London listed UK income fund focused primarily on acquiring and managing solar energy assets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Glen Suarez as an independent non-executive director with effect from 30 October 2024. Mr Suarez's appointment follows an externally facilitated selection process.

 

Mr Suarez is currently the chairman of Knight Vinke Asset Management, having previously held the roles of CIO and Deputy CEO. He is a senior adviser to FMAP Limited, a consultancy founded by Lord Maude which advised governments on the implementation of public sector reform. He was a committee member and co-chair of the Capital Markets Advisory Committee, an independent body advising on accounting issues and standards between 2014 and 2020. Prior to this, Mr Suarez was a Partner in Soditic Limited for four years and prior to that he was head of European energy, infrastructure and utilities investment banking business at Morgan Stanley for eight years.

 

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Royal Society of Arts.

 

Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13, the Company notes that Mr Suarez is currently the non-executive chair of Impax Environmental Markets plc which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. In the previous five years, Mr Suarez was a non-executive director of Blackrock Throgmorton Investment Trust plc and non-executive chair of The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc, both listed on the London Stock Exchange.
