Countryside says buyers are shaking off Brexit fatigue as house sales leap. Brits are moving past Brexit fatigue and committing to buying new homes, the boss of builder Countryside Properties (CSP) said on Wednesday. Ian Sutcliffe said the start of the year was slower but customer demand improved in the second quarter, with reservations for homes at the top end of targets. He told the Standard: “There is a feeling of Brexit fatigue. Some people had been delaying purchases last year waiting for certainty around leaving the EU. However, details around the departure are still unclear, so many are now thinking let’s just get on with buying.” He added the “underlying demand for new homes remains strong”.
