Steve C. Nicandros

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Nicandros is a founder of Frontera Resources Corporation and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. At Frontera’s founding, Mr. Nicandros initially organized the company and directed its initial growth initiatives in Eastern Europe and South America as President while also serving as an executive member of the board of directors. In 1997 he became Chief Executive Officer and, in 2002 was named Chairman of the Board of Directors. He resigned as Chief Executive Officer and was succeeded by Mr. Zaza Mamulaishvili in July 2017. Throughout this time, he evolved the company’s Greater Black Sea strategy to primarily focus Frontera’s activities in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe. Prior to Frontera’s founding in 1996, Mr. Nicandros was employed by Conoco Inc. where he served as President of Conoco Overseas Oil Company and was responsible for Conoco’s worldwide development of upstream new business and mergers and acquisitions. Between 1992 and 1994, Mr. Nicandros was Conoco’s Manager of Reserve Acquisitions and Asset Management, following which he became Manager of Upstream Commercial Development. He began his career in the oil industry in 1982 with Conoco Inc. Mr. Nicandros graduated from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas in 1982 with a B.S. degree in political science. He currently serves on the board of directors of Washington D.C based Atlantic Council, and; serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Energy, Clean Air and Natural Resources Committee. As well as The Chamber’s U.S. Ukraine Business Forum Committee for the Advocacy of The Economic Revival of Ukraine.

Mr. Luis E. Giusti

Director

Mr. Giusti has been a non-executive director of the Company since April 2005. He is a member of the Carlyle-Riverstone Advisory Board and recently served on the board of Alange Energy Corporation, a Canadian-based oil and gas exploration company. Mr. Guisti is also a member of the board of governors and special adviser to the chairman of the Centre for Global Energy Studies in London. From 2000 to 2005 he was a non-executive director of Royal Dutch Shell. Mr. Giusti is internationally renowned as an advisor and commentator on global affairs and energy issues. He is presently a Senior Adviser to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as well as a member of the advisory boards of the Energy Institute of the University of Houston, the Maguire Energy Institute of Southern Methodist University, and the Institute of Global Studies at George Washington University. He is also a member of the International Energy Agency’s Expert Panel. Since 1976, Mr. Giusti has played a leading role in the development of the Venezuelan oil industry, becoming Chairman and CEO of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. in 1994, a post he held until 1999. Over his career, Mr. Giusti has received numerous accolades and awards including 1997 World Oil Executive of the Year and Latin American Oil Executive of the Decade.

Zaza Mamulaishvili

Executive Director, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mamulaishvili is a co-founder of Frontera Resources Corporation and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and is a member of its Board of Directors. Since the Company’s founding in 1997, Mr. Mamulaishvili has been General Director of Frontera’s business in the Greater Black Sea region where he managed the Company’s initial growth. Before co-founding the Company, from 1991 to 1997, Mr. Mamulaishvili was founder and President of a privately held company, MTA Ltd, an exporter of Eastern European crude oil and metals to the international market. During this time, he was also founder and chief executive of METEX, a privately held company that focused on metals trading in Russia, Ukraine and European countries. Between 2001 and 2003, Mr. Mamulaishvili served as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia. Mr. Mamulaishvili holds a medical degree from Tbilisi State Medical University.

Stephen M. Hope

Director

Mr. Hope is founder and managing director of Outrider Management LLC, a SEC-registered Investment Advisor based in California. Prior to forming Outrider in January 2004, he was a portfolio manager with Dalton Investments LLC. Mr. Hope is a highly experienced investor in emerging markets, having been doing so for over 20 years. Mr. Hope is also an executive director of Madagascar Oil Limited, an independent international oil and gas company focused on exploration, development and production opportunities in five onshore blocks in Madagascar. Mr. Hope has also served as director of Jaguar Mining Inc., a Canadian-listed gold mining, development, and exploration company operating in Brazil with three gold mining complexes. Mr. Hope holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University.
