Wizz Air reports rise in October traffic, seat capacity
reported a 4.1% jump in passenger numbers for October on Monday, and an uptick in the load factor.
Passenger numbers rose to 5.6m from 5.4 in October 2023, with seat capacity up 3.7% to 6.1m despite the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine-related groundings.
The load factor - which gauges how the full the planes are - came in at 92.9%, up from 92.5%.
On a rolling 12-month basis, traffic was up 6.9% at 62.5m, while seat capacity increased 8.2% to 69.4m. The load factor dipped to 90.1% from 91.2%.
