IG Group appoints Clifford Abrahams as CFO

    said on Wednesday that it has appointed Clifford Abrahams as chief financial officer and as an executive director.
Abrahams will take on the role of CFO with effect from 16 December.

IG said he is a "highly experienced" CFO, having overseen the finance function for several significant financial institutions. Abrahams joins from Virgin Money UK, where he has been group CFO since 2021.

Prior to this, he was group CFO at ABN AMRO Bank for nearly four years, and before that, group CFO at Dutch insurer Delta Lloyd Group.

He spent his early career at Morgan Stanley in the Financial Institutions Group, latterly as managing director, before spending ten years at Aviva in various senior finance roles. Clifford has an MBA from Wharton Business School and an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.

Chief executive Breon Corcoran said: "I look forward to welcoming Clifford to IG at this important stage in our development. His experience will be invaluable as we enter the next phase of growth."
