Chill Brands Group reorganises management team to support growth
(CHLL ) said it has reorganised its executive management team in a move to support the company’s growth, appointing its former International Brand Director, Callum Sommerton, to its Board of Directors as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
The Group which develops, produces and manufactures hemp-derived CBD products, tobacco alternatives and other consumer packaged goods (CPG) products, said the management changes reflectt its commitment to sustainable growth and profitability.
Mr Sommerton, a former legal professional with brand protection and regulatory experience, has helped to create, develop and protect major brands in multiple industries and across numerous jurisdictions as the previous International Brand Director for the Company.
Before joining in 2021, Sommerton had established a digital marketing and business growth consultancy to provide direction and support to a client base of public and private companies operating within the consumer goods, luxury lifestyle, and professional services sectors.
The Company said Mr Sommerton will now spend his time managing the Company’s strategy across the United States and interacting with investors, partners, and regulators in the UK.
In addition, Antonio Russo and Trevor Taylor, who are both currently Co-Chief Executive Officers of Chill Brands Group, will assume other senior roles within the Company. Michael Sandore, formerly CCO, is leaving his position and Chill Brands effective immediately.
Russo will be Chief Commercial Officer and will focus on Chill Brands’ sales and marketing activities within the physical retail and digital channels while Taylor, who has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer, will focus on improving the Company’s approach to logistics and fulfilment. Both Mr Taylor and Mr Russo will continue to sit on the Company’s Board.
Mr Sommerton highlighted to investors today: “These management changes are a reflection of our commitment to sustainable growth and profitability for Chill Brands. I have ambitious plans for the Company and will share a comprehensive forward-looking strategy shortly.”
Trevor Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Antonio and I are grateful to investors for their support over the past two years. We look forward to continuing our work at the Company through our respective appointments which will better enable us to play to our strengths.”
He said: “As significant shareholders in our own right, we could not be more pleased with the appointment of Callum Sommerton to the Board and to the position of CEO. He demonstrates the leadership and vision necessary to secure success for the Chill brand and we are certain his expertise will guide the Company towards a brighter and more stable future.”
