Totally (TLY FOLLOW) said its Urgent Care division has won a two-year contract extension for the provision of GP services to NHS North West London CCG, worth around £1.3m a year.

Under the terms of the Contract, Vocare, which forms part of Totally’s Urgent Care division, will provide GP-led primary care services for Initial Accommodation Centre service users located within 34 hotels in the London borough of Hillingdon and neighbouring boroughs.

Today’s contract was initially awarded in February 2020 to meet the primary care needs of individuals seeking asylum in England who were located mainly within Hillingdon in London.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the contract scope was expanded to include support for new arrivals into UK local airports who exhibited symptoms of Covid-19, the company explained. Under the new terms of the deal, the extension will run from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2024.

Totally’s Urgent Care division has already been awarded three new contracts and multiple contract extensions, together worth a total value of more than £54m this month. These contracts will see the division deliver its services across several locations in England.

As a result of these contract wins, Totally will deliver its services across North East England, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and South East London. Vocare was awarded a contract with Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs for the provision of GP Out of Hours services.

Vocare already provides GP Out of Hours services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent as part of an existing contract for the Integrated Urgent Care division, however, this latest contract will support the delivery of care for an increased population of around 1.2 million people, it noted.

This contract’s total value is £45 million over a period of five years, with an option to extend for a further two years. The Company said it expects to mobilise the service by April 2022.

Totally’s Urgent Care Division, which comprises Vocare and Greenbrook Healthcare, was also awarded two new contracts for the delivery of NHS 111 online clinical services in North East. England and South East London Clinical Assessment Services (CAS), the company reported.

In addition, Greenbrook was also awarded multiple contract extensions to deliver Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) in South East London. In total, these contracts are worth £8.6m.

The company explained that these extensions will mean that Greenbrook will continue to provide support Totally’s Urgent Care division as pressure on the NHS still remains high.

Totally recalled how last month, London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, had declared a ‘major incident’ in London as COVID-19 cases surged following the identification of the new Omicron variant.

CEO, Wendy Lawrence, noted “a rising demand for such services across the UK”, adding that the role Totally plays within the UK’s healthcare system “is essential at the best of times.”

Last week, Totally, which provides healthcare services across the UK and Ireland, declared an interim dividend of 0.5 pence per ordinary share to be paid later this month on 25 February.
