CEO Blog: "Final Building Blocks in Place as BKM DFS Nears Completion"
By Darryn McClelland, CEO of Asiamet Resources

As   moves into the final stretch of work on the Optimised Feasibility Study (DFS) for our BKM Copper Project, I wanted to take the opportunity to update shareholders on progress and the path ahead.

I’m pleased to report that all major technical and engineering workstreams are now complete, with only the final piece of the puzzle — our updated power study — outstanding. This will be on my desk shortly and will allow us to close out the DFS ready for publication.

We will, of course, notify the market as soon as this final study is completed.

Power Study: Final Input, Lender-Aligned

The power solution is a critical part of our technical and economic framework. This study was initiated as a recommendation of our prospective lending partners and benefits from detailed evaluation of multiple supply options.

The result will be a robust, defendable power price that supports both our project economics and the bankability of the overall package. It’s another example of our approach: keeping our potential lenders closely informed, ensuring that the work we’re doing is fully aligned with their expectations ahead of formal financing.

Due Diligence Progress: Quietly Shortening the Timeline

In parallel, independent third-party technical due diligence (DD) reports have been progressing well. These reviews are close to completion and will save us meaningful time in the financing process, helping to fast-track lender reviews once the DFS is published.

This behind-the-scenes preparation, though not always visible to the market, has been instrumental in keeping us on the front foot as we move into the project financing phase.

Strategic Location: Securing Copper Supply for Asia’s Growth and Global Stability

At a time of growing global trade tensions and tariffs, proximity to end markets matters more than ever. BKM is not only a robust copper project — it is strategically located to serve the fastest-growing copper demand centres in the world.

Indonesia alone is forecast to double its copper consumption by 2040, driven by rapid industrialisation, electrification, and the expansion of key downstream sectors like EVs and renewable energy. Across Asia, which already accounts for over 60% of global copper demand, this growth trajectory continues to accelerate.

With its location in Central Kalimantan, BKM is perfectly positioned to supply these dynamic Asian markets. This advantage means reduced shipping distances, regional resilience, and security of supply for end users — critical benefits as global copper supply tightens and trade relationships become more complex.

BKM stands ready to help meet Asia’s future copper needs, providing buyers with a dependable, strategically located source of copper cathode.

Looking Ahead: Final Review and Delivery

With all major workstreams now complete and the power study imminent, we are at the final stage of our project optimisation journey. Once the power study is delivered, final internal reviews will be completed in quick time and the DFS prepared for publication.

This will mark a major milestone for Asiamet: delivering a fully optimised, substantially de-risked project ready to progress to formal financing discussions.

We’ll continue to keep you informed along the way and I look forward to updating you again soon as we move closer to publication.
